Aims
To discuss and debate the likely effects on delegates company’s/organisations, following the introduction of The Regulatory Reform (fire safety) Order 2005 which commenced 1st October 2006 and the role and responsibilities of the nominated ‘responsible person’.

Learning Objectives
To understand how the Government intends to

  • Police the Order
  • create a single regime
  • Base the Order on fire risk assessments, prevention and mitigation measures
  • Increase compliance
  • Focus on those premises which present the greatest risk
  • Ensure fire safety installations and equipment are maintained
  • Ensure compliance by firstly assistance and then by the Courts
