All our services are bespoke and are carried out by highly qualified and competent assessors, trainers and consultants. We are also a registered training service provider for The Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) - Managing and Working Safely Courses.
FIRE RISK ASSESSMENTS
As a requirement under The fire safety Order 2005, a fire risk assessment must be carried out and recorded where there are 5 or more employees, a license is in force or an Alterations notice has been issued by the Fire Service to the building. The ‘Responsible Person’ is legally required to ensure the risk assessment is undertaken by a competent person and that it is reviewed on a regular basis, taking into account any persons who may visit the building.

FIRE INVESTIGATION
Our Fire Investigation Officers are highly qualified and competent individuals who have served many years within the Fire Service, attending a variety of incidents. They are now available for on-site investigations, insurance claims and third party expert witnesses in any court hearing. They can provide statements, offer advice and always provide a detailed and exacting report for any incident where the cause of the fire is unknown.

SITE SPECIFIC - BASIC FIRE SAFETY TRAINING
Site specific fire safety training is also a requirement under the new Fire Safety Order. The instructor must be ‘competent’, a competent instructor must have training, knowledge and experience. A live fire training rig for use with fire extinguishers is also available and included in the cost.

SITE SPECIFIC - FIRE WARDEN TRAINING
Site specific fire warden/marshal training is available for individuals with additional responsibilities in ensuring the buildings on their site are evacuated quickly and efficiently. Included in the training for the role as a warden is the duties of the Fire Service liaison Officer.

This is an invaluable course for people who are designated ‘responsible persons’ and may undertake as part of their responsibilities fire risk assessments in the workplace, or who are designated as competent persons for risk control. There are two levels of training dependant on the types of building to be assessed.

RESPONSIBLE PERSONS COURSE
Available for persons who have been nominated as the ‘responsible person’ under the new Regulatory Reform Order and who are responsible for a building or number of buildings. This course is an open forum for discussion and is offered on an easy to understand basis . The new guidance documents are discussed in detail together with other technical standards and consideration is given in the way in which the Order will be policed by the Fire Service. It also covers the type of legal procedures adopted by The Fire and Rescue Services and their recommended prioritisations of risks.
